You can now upload specific file types and link to them in the Email Builder so your prospects and customers can download the hosted file. You can also hyperlink text to a file download.
- Currently, we support PDF and XSLS file types
- This feature is available when building a Broadcast email or when building an email in Advanced Automation.
- The total file size limit for all attachments in an email is 10MB combined.
Add a file download button and add a tag
- Click and drag a Button object onto the email template.
- With the button object selected on your template, change the Action Type drop-down to File download on the right side of the page.
- From here, you can select an existing file or choose Open file management... to upload a new file.
- Drag and drop or click to upload your file
- Select your new file from the file list.
- Note that you can preview, download or delete individual files
- Click the Insert File button
- You can also apply a tag or create a new one on the fly by typing the name of the tag, which will be automatically applied to the button.
- Style your download button to match your template

Hyperlink text to a file download and add a tag
- To create a file download hyperlink, just drag a text block onto the email template, or click inside an existing text block
- Select the text and click on Hyperlink button
- In the Action Type dropdown, select File Download
- Click on File to select an option from the list or click on Open file management... to upload a new life
- Click Insert file
- You can also apply a tag or create a new one on the fly by typing the name of the tag, which will be automatically applied to the hyperlink.

I can't find the File download block. Where did it go?
The File download block was removed from the Content block. Now, users can add file download to text or button in the Hyperlink icon.
Can I apply tags to file download?
Yes, you can apply up to 10 tags per link
Can I only add file downloads to buttons?
No, you can add file download to the content using the Text block and to buttons using the Button block.
Is this feature available only in email broadcasts?
No, this update applies to email broadcasts and advanced automation.
